About BookCurious

“Who are you?” said the Caterpillar. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (1865)

Hello and welcome to BookCurious! I’m Amanda, a youth services librarian and life-long reader who believes that books are curious things for curious people. They have a lot to teach us about the world and ourselves.

I graduated from Simmons College with degrees in Library Science and Children’s Literature and have worked at several public libraries. While I’m usually the Youth Outreach Librarian for the Boston Public Library, I am currently on sabbatical and living in Jerusalem with my husband and almost 1-year-old daughter, Lil’ P, until summer 2016.

Besides reading, a few of my favorite things are animals, cooking, traveling, getting outdoors, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with friends and family.

You can find me here on the blog and on Twitter at @BookCurious.
