Read me

I’m a librarian and bibliophile and I am curious about books. And why not? Books are curious things. What once was trees and pigment, in the hands of people turns into pages, writing, stories, pictures, emotions, ideas. Books connect with each other in expected and unexpected ways. They remind us of where we have been and where we could be going. There are books in many languages and for many age groups. Some have words and some don’t. Some people love books; some people hate books. And I want to explore it all.

While professionally I serve children, I hope to make this blog as inclusive as possible. I want to look at things I didn’t know and don’t understand and ways that books connect to each other (intentionally or not). There will be reviews of books I’ve read and things I’m working on at the library. And who knows what else? There’s no telling where your curiosity can take you but I refuse to believe that it is really what killed the proverbial cat. Books are getting, as Alice said, “curiouser and curiouser.”
